“Working with Dana was fast, efficient, and effective. She was able to work within our brand standards to help communicate complex program ideas and turn them into eye-catching, easy to understand brochures. After working with Dana it was easier to explain our work to donors and partners, and our program was adopted by more users. Additionally, when we came back to Dana with a new idea for collateral, she was able to make this new piece blend seamlessly with our other materials. Her professional touch was exactly what we needed!”
That’s the philosophy of Green Mountain United Way’s Working Bridges program, which gives workers the on-site support they need to be more productive, stable, and reliable employees. This support includes classes, financial coaching, and a resource coordinator to help sort out daily challenges like car repair, health care, and child care.
When Carrie was tasked with expanding this program from its initial small service area to five Vermont counties, she turned to me for design help. Together, we crafted a mini-booklet with tear-off postcard and a brochure. Matching event invites and a brochure specific to supervisors soon followed. A few years later, when Carrie wanted to get the word out about Green Mountain United Way’s financial coaching program, she turned to me again for a kinda-matching, kinda-different brochure to advertise that program as well.
